Narrogin on tour

Seventeen members of the Probus Club of Narrogin arrived for a three-day visit to Bridgetown, Greenbushes, Balingup and Boyup Brook.

The group enjoyed a Talison Lithium Mine tour, visits to the Greenbushes Discovery Centre, Bridgetown Visitor Centre including the Jigsaw Gallery and the Old Police Gaol. Local hospitality included visits to The Cidery, The Mushroom Cafe (Balingup) and dinner at the Bridgetown Hotel.

Team leader Coral said, “Our group was accommodated at three locations – Ford House, Bridgetown Valley Lodge and Elysian Bridgetown – and all were most satisfactory.

“Bridgetown Probians joined us for the Talison Lithium Mine tour and visiting the Greenbushes Discovery Centre. Thank you to Matt – Talison Lithium’s Manager of Mining – who gave us a marvellous insight into the massive operation.

“We enjoyed shopping in Bridgetown, sightseeing in the Valley including Maranup Ford, Donnelly River village and the Jarrah Reserve. Our final day included tours of the Bridgetown Old Police Gaol and the Jigsaw Gallery.

“Our final evening dinner was at the Bridgetown Hotel and we were joined by four Bridgetown Probians who joined in the fun and games! We all got on so well and hope we will receive a visit from the Bridgetown Club next year.”
