Welcome to the Combined Probus Club of Syndal website
A Probus Club is one of the most recognized and accessible organisation for retirees, following the true spirit of Probus – promoting fellowship, friendship and fun.
This club brings together retired and semi-retired people in fellowship and friendship for;
- Regular monthly meetings with a variety of interesting guest speakers
- An extensive list of activity groups
- Frequent social events
- A wide variety of outings and trips from single to multi-days
- All members receive coverage under the Probus national insurance scheme
Meetings are held on the fourth Friday each month in the Mount Waverley Youth Centre, Miller Crescent, Mount Waverley. Meetings commence at 10 am followed by a morning tea then a guest speaker with meetings finishing at 12 noon. Each meeting commences with Club business, then a morning tea break, following where a guest speaker addresses the Club on various topics of interest. The morning tea break provides an opportunity for members to liaise with each other and to peruse the outings available.
Aside from an annual membership subscription, the only other costs imposed on members are outings or external activities undertaken, as the Committee strives to keep all costs to a minimum.
Special morning teas are often held celebrating Australia Day, the AFL grand final and the Melbourne Cup. Other special events include club anniversaries and Christmas celebrations.
