Johnsonville Probus visit Memorial Park
30 Nov 2021
Pukeahu National War Memorial Park in Wellington is a place for New Zealanders to remember and reflect on the country’s experience of war, military conflict and peacekeeping. Created in 2015, the Park is also a place for memorials from countries with which New Zealand has a shared military heritage.
Members of the recently established Probus Club of Johnsonville recently visited the Park. The members thoroughly enjoyed the day trip and got to see the beautiful UK memorial tree which comprises the trunks of an English Royal Oak and a New Zealand Pohutukawa which intertwine to form one single canopy. A great day was had by all.
