A delightful time was spent recently by the Penguin Probus group at Simon’s home in Penguin, Tasmania, enjoying his hospitality, his unique tram collection and a BBQ together, proving that having fun on a ride is not just for the kids. A semi-retired anaesthetist, Simon’s Fortitude Tramway is his passion, recreating street cars such as a 1920s Los Angeles vehicle and Hobart 141, seen in the museum in Glenorchy, as well as the AnkH-Morpork, a mix of Victorian-era railway and fantasy, with his property close to town allowing members to enjoy actual rides in the bush.
