Since launching the 50th Anniversary of Probus in Australia, we have been overwhelmed by the support from all levels of government. Regardless of their political affiliations, government representatives understand the valuable role each Probus Club plays in helping members stay engaged and connected within their communities. We received so many testimonials that not all of them could be included in our testimonial videos however we have included every testimonial received on our website. We ask that all Clubs encourage their members to visit this page and appreciate how valued Probus is in their local community.
Letter from Governor General
Her Excellency the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, has acknowledged the vital contribution of Probus across the country. Her Excellency states in the attached letter that ‘As a community, you make a lasting contribution to wellbeing across cities, towns and regions nationwide. I have seen and continue to celebrate the profound impact of Probus in the lives of many of my family members, and in the communities I have visited across Australia.’
This acknowledgement from our Governor General is a testament to the extraordinary work of both current and past Management Committee members of Clubs and Associations as well as our valued Membership Representatives, and all those behind the scenes that help Clubs with meetings and activities.
