A special milestone was celebrated at the Como Combined Probus’ May General Meeting as the Club marked its 40th anniversary.
To honour the occasion, Geoff Baker, MLA for South Perth, presented the Club with a congratulatory mounted certificate from Probus South Pacific Limited (PSPL). Geoff spoke about his association with the Club, his participation in some of its events and how he has always been impressed by the friendliness of its members. He concluded by expressing his hope that the Club will continue to thrive, recognising the important role clubs like Como Combined Probus play in supporting the health and wellbeing of seniors.
The Club’s first President, Jennifer Rogers, joined Geoff in the ceremonial cutting of a large decorated cake, with delicious portions served to members during morning tea.
