The Club commenced operation with its first meeting in July 2002 and received its Accreditation Certificate from the Probus Centre (no. 58448) dated 18 February 2003.  The Club operates under the Probus Constitution and closely follows the recommended guidelines of the Probus Centre – South Pacific Inc. The Club’s membership limit is capped at 150 following a decision of the members, and endeavors to maintain the gender ratio as a maximum of 60% of any one gender. Due to the subsidies received from the City of Monash the Club restricts any new members to those residing within the City of Monash.

Meetings are held on the fourth Friday each month in the Mount Waverley Youth Centre, Miller Crescent, Mount Waverley. Each meeting commences with the Club business, followed by a morning tea break, before a guest speaker addresses the Club on various topics of interest. The morning tea break provides an opportunity for members to liaise with each other and to peruse the outings available.

As part of the annual membership subscription, both the Probus Centre magazine and the regional newsletter are provided to Members. The only other costs imposed are the outings undertaken by the Members, as the Committee strives to keep all costs to a minimum.
